Spanky’s Dive 2018

Tuesday, 1 May 2018

The annual Dive show tore through last Saturday like a drunken roadrunner heading face first into a wall. It was perfect. I shot Time Out Timmy, Left Hand Backwards, and a couple of visitors.

Pensive Words

I recently took down a secondary blog I wrote for. When I wrote there, I would give a preview here and link to the post there. Since it was going down, I decided to fill out the full content on the posts here. Enjoy!

The year 1997 was a big one for me both personally and socially. I was deeply involved in music, writing, and the arts, and my personal life was winding up in a crescendo of self-discovery and debauchery. That was twenty years ago and I am writing a little bit about each album on their release dates.

Today, we look at Closure, the double-VHS set by industrial rock and metal band nine inch nails…

Megan Saunders, 19 Oct 2017 in Burlington, VT

Wednesday, 15 November 2017

If you’ve not heard Megan Saunders & the Driftless, fix this now. I’ve known Megan some many years and hope to for many more to come. Her music is inescapably potent, masterfully crafted, and beautifully executed. My partner and I were fortunate to catch her in town on the 19th of October at The Lamp Club in Burlington, VT. It was, as always, a great time. I was even more fortunate that she let me shoot a bit while enjoying the performance!

I had the lovely fortune of shooting a wedding in September. Here are a couple of highlights from it.

The Notch (again)

Wednesday, 8 November 2017

I’ve shot a lot at Smuggler’s Notch over the last year and a half, so going back up during peak foliage was questionably stale for my camera (though never for my eyes!). So this time I went with the intention of capturing things I have not before.I’m a thorough wanderer, so that was no easy task and I’m not so sure I accomplished it. ;)

(Okay, that last one isn’t The Notch. It is sunset from US-7.)
